The 3rd Annual Bird Lovers Expo in 2023 was a huge success with almost 500 people in attendance. We managed to raise over $1,000 for the sanctuary in a single day - a testament to how generous the local bird community is!
Our sponsorship board continued to be a huge hit, where people could donate $10 to sponsor a bird and then receive an 'autographed' photo of them. Several people mentioned that their sponsored bird photos from 2022 were still on their fridge to brighten up their day, which was so lovely to hear. We also sold lots of merchandise to raise funds - coffee mugs, tote bags, desk calendars, pens, and wooden foraging boxes were all very popular.
A huge thank you to Kiwi's New Life Bird Rescue for hosting the expo which continues to get bigger every year. We are very much looking forward to what 2024 will bring!
